Kelley Baba Tom MBA, CFP®, CDFA®
President, Certified Financial Planner
I draw inspiration from my grandfather who grew up poor, he was the oldest of 7 kids so he stopped school after the 8th grade to help support his family. After returning from the war, he started a slipper company and worked hard. With the guidance of a financial advisor, he was able to achieve financial success, he was able to travel with my grandma, take his grandkids to Japan, and retire comfortably. I’m grateful for his advisor and am passionate about helping others make smart financial decisions so they too can live their best lives.
With 14 years of experience in financial planning, I have had the pleasure of assisting individuals and families in achieving their goals. I earned a BS in Speech from the University of Manoa and an MBA from California State Long Beach as well as the CFP® and CDFA® designations. I also hold several licenses, including Series 6,62,65,7 and state Life and Health Insurance licenses. It is with a deep sense of responsibility and humility that I approach each client's unique needs and aspirations.
Recognizing the profound importance of community and the collective responsibility we all share, I am committed to giving back and am privileged to be the president of the Rotary Club of Kahala Sunrise, where we focus on helping children, seniors, and the environment. In addition, I volunteer with Junior Achievement Hawaii, where I have the privilege of imparting financial literacy knowledge to children across the island. By teaching them essential skills, I strive to empower them to build a strong financial foundation for their future.
In my free time, I embrace an active lifestyle and spending time with family and friends. I enjoy biking, surfing, and spending time with my 5 year old daughter Kaylee.
