Kelley Baba Tom MBA, CFP®, CDFA®

I draw inspiration from my grandfather, who grew up poor as the oldest of seven children. He left school after the 8th grade to help support his family. After returning from the war, he started a slipper company and worked tirelessly to build a better life. With the guidance of a financial advisor, he was able to achieve financial success—traveling the world with my grandmother, taking his grandchildren to Japan, and retiring comfortably. I’m grateful for the role his advisor played in that journey, and it inspires my passion for helping others make smart financial decisions so they too can live their best lives.

With over 16 years of experience in financial planning, I’ve had the privilege of helping individuals and families work toward their financial goals. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Speech from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa and an MBA from California State University, Long Beach. I also hold the Certified Financial Planner and Certified Divorce Financial Analyst designations, along with several securities and insurance licenses. I approach every client relationship with a deep sense of responsibility and humility, recognizing that each person’s goals and circumstances are unique.

Giving back to the community is very important to me. I am a board member and past president of the Rotary Club of Kahala Sunrise, where we focus on supporting children, seniors, and environmental initiatives. I have also volunteered with Junior Achievement Hawaii, helping teach financial literacy to students across the island. It’s incredibly rewarding to help young people develop the financial skills and confidence they need to build a strong future.

Outside of work, I enjoy staying active, exploring new places, trying new foods, and spending time with family and friends—especially my daughter.
